Hi friends, family, and kind strangers — I never thought I’d be here asking for help, but life has a way of throwing curveballs when you least expect it.
Our AC unit has officially reached the end of its life. For months, it’s been limping along, making strange noises and struggling to keep the house cool. After having a technician out for what we hoped was a simple fix, we learned the truth: the repairs would cost nearly as much as a new unit, and given its age, it’s simply not worth patching anymore.
Right now, we’re facing rising summer temperatures with no reliable way to keep our home comfortable and safe. This isn’t just about comfort — extreme heat can be dangerous, especially for my dog auggie.
The cost for a new, energy-efficient AC unit and installation is more than we can manage on our own. Between everyday expenses and recent unexpected bills, this is one challenge we can’t overcome without a little help from our community.
If you can contribute, any amount — even $5 — brings us closer to our goal. And if you can’t give financially, simply sharing this campaign with your friends and family would mean the world to us.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story, for your kindness, and for helping us stay cool and safe this summer.
With gratitude,
Matthew S
