FRACTURED AETHER is a steampunk-fantasy story about Echo, a curious and inventive girl whose life is forever changed when an ancient power known as the Aether begins to awaken beneath the industrial city of Cindervein.
Echo and her older brother Arrow are raised together after losing their mother, eventually finding a home with Corvin, a kind tavern owner and skilled fixer who adopts them and raises them at The Black Lantern. Alongside their friends Knox, Lyra, and Ren, they form a family of their own.
But that family doesn't last.
Corvin is killed, shattering the home they built together. In the aftermath, Arrow is arrested and sent to prison, while Echo is kidnapped by Vix, separating the siblings when they need each other most.
Meanwhile, Knox is taken in by the Chainbreakers, an organization led by Onyx, giving him a new path and a new allegiance.
Separated across different parts of the world, Echo, Arrow, and Knox are forced to survive without the family that once kept them together.
At the same time, the awakening of the ancient Aether begins revealing secrets about the world, its forgotten history, and Echo's connection to the mysterious force. What initially appears to be a strange phenomenon beneath Cindervein gradually becomes something much larger—something capable of changing the balance between Cindervein, Aethelre, and the forces struggling to control the Aether.
