Dave Murray is a surgical resident at OU-Tulsa who was involved in a severe car wreck in the early morning hours of September 7th on his way back to Oklahoma from vacation. He sustained cervical spine fractures, rib fractures, and multple facial factures. He is in the ICU in Flagstaff, Arizona at this time and will undergo fixation of his spine there. He is going to require at least two surgeries and rehabilitation after his hospitalization. Due to COVID-19, Dave is unable to have friends or family present in Flagstaff with him. His resident family is working to transport him to Tulsa where we can take care of him ourselves. Helicopter transport is estimated to cost $10k in addition to any other needs that Dave will have during the course of his recovery. All money is this fund will be used to meet his immediate needs related to this accident.
