✈️Our 14-year-old son, Jordan, has dreamed of aviation for as long as he has dreamed at all—flying, building planes, and working with the newest technology in the skies. He is ultra focused in school, a strong athlete, and is known by his teachers and coaches as kind, respectful, and incredibly hard‑working.
Jordan was recently invited as a 2026 Scholar to the Aviation Academy, an Envision by WorldStrides program sponsored by George Mason University and held at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. This exclusive 10‑day program (June 25–July 4, 2026 or July 18–27, 2026) immerses students in real‑world aviation through simulations, site visits, and direct access to industry and military aircraft specialists.
Each day is packed with experiences that are perfectly aligned with who Jordan is: design thinking and simulation, personality and public speaking workshops, and college and career navigation sessions with panels of current students.
He will visit the National Museum of WWII Aviation, tour the U.S. Air Force Academy, and explore aviation history districts that bring his textbooks to life. The Falcon AeroLab portion of the academy lets students get hands‑on—assembling drones, learning drone controls and maneuverability, and experiencing helicopter and powered flights. Jordan will also document his journey through a flight V‑log, compile footage, and present a final project, giving him a chance to blend technical skills with communication and leadership.
Attendance at Aviation Academy is a huge honor, earned through Jordan’s academic performance at Northwest Career and Technical Academy and his clear interest in the field of aviation. His transcript shows a strong GPA, honors and engineering classes, excellent attendance, and consistent 3.7gpa reflect his dedication and discipline.
Tuition for the Aviation Academy is $5,499 dollars, which includes classes, briefings, lectures, simulations, college credit costs, a personalized Certificate of Achievement, housing and meals on the University of Colorado Colorado Springs campus, and all program materials and site visits. Travel and incidental expenses are additional, and families are encouraged to fundraise or seek scholarships to help make this opportunity possible. This is where help is needed.
