Owen, an 8-year-old British boy, suffers from Schwartz-Jampel syndrome, a rare genetic disorder in which his muscles constantly seize involuntarily. There are only around 30 people worldwide with the condition.
Confined to a wheelchair and struggling with his disease and a fear of being different, Owen was withdrawn and anxious, especially in the presence of strangers.
That was until Owen met Haatchi, an Anatolian Shepherd, who had a heartbreaking story of his own. As a puppy intentionally left on railroad tracks and hit by a train, causing him to lose a hind leg and his tail.
Together, they triumphed against impossible odds.
