Please help us save Henry Huggins. Our little boy is only 3 years old, and has a bowel obstruction. He can’t keep even water down and is crying in pain. He’s staying overnight at the emergency vet, and needs surgery.
Henry is the goodest of boys! He became my grandson‘s best friend and watched over him from infancy. He healed our hearts when our other little boy was killed by our dog sitter. He welcomed and loved on the deaf and blind fosters that come through our home on the way into rescue. He was our old lady dog’s best friend and careful snuggle buddy.
My husband lost his job a year and a half ago, and as a veteran, is using his military disability and the last of his GI bill, which barely cover our expenses. This bill will wipe out our savings and put us behind every month, risking our home.
As a pet owner you always hope to have enough to cover any emergency needs, but this came at a terrible time for us. It’s embarrassing to have to ask for help, but Henry deserves to be ok. I’ve volunteered long enough in rescue and transport to know that pet people are the best, and I’m hoping to get the help I never thought I’d need.
