Hi my name is Gracie Hocart, I am a pre-Social Work major at UNCW. LIke many of my peers, I have noticed the many unhoused people struggling in Wilmington. Since it is getting colder and the holidays are coming up, I would really like to take this time to create care packages with food, water, blankets, and other necessities that could really make a difference for some of these people, but I can't do it without your help. As of earlier this year, there were at least 350 unhoused people in the Wilmington area, with the number expected to rise. I have made a goal to collect at least $200 for these care packages so I can help as many people as possible.
