. .I am trying to raise funds for my 49 year old daughter, Kristi Lesmann. In January of 2023 she was taken out of work by doctor because of debilitating medical issues. I live with her because of my age and also my own health issues. Since she was taken out of work because of health, she immediately contacted a lawyer to assist her with application for social security disability. As of this past week she has been denied 2 times, so now her attorney has requested a hearing, but unfortunately in North Carolina that will take an additional 4-6 months. As you can imagine, without income for almost 2 years for herself we have been trying to make ends meet just on my social security. She has exhausted all of her 401k and any other savings she had accumulated.
Kristi is a very special person. She has always thought less of herself and more of others especially her friends and family. As you may be aware, when you apply for social security disability, you are sent to every kind of specialist available. She suffers from severe lymphoedema and was having severe dizziness and headaches so one of the first she had to see was a neurologist who in testing discovered that she has had traumatic brain injury sustained in two different auto accidents. She was next sent for testing of her inner ears and that showed she has damage to her ears that contributed to her dizziness that often resulted in falling and fainting for which she is going through physical therapy to help with symptoms. She also has to see a mental health specialist for therapy because of PTSD suffered from a very disturbing childhood as well as anxiety over all this situation. She was next sent to the heart doctor who ran several tests and determined she has a heart blockage that can also be contributing to her dizziness. She is now also having to see a physical therapist for orthopedic issues . Having to see all these doctors and therapists causes extra medical expenses.
As I stated earlier, we are really struggling financially and since we have nothing to fall back on we are unable to continue meeting monthly expenses. Therefore, I am hopeful that some of you reading her story will be willing to help. She has paid faithfully on her mortgage for 15 years and we certainly do not want to lose our home. My check each month no where will be enough to cover everything. We try to be as frugal as we can but unfortunately $ 1,000 a month that I get only goes so far. And in the past three months we have had two major set backs. First car problems and then HVAC problems so we are really hurting so PLEASE IF YOU CAN HELP, NO MATTER HOW MUCH, WE SURE COULD USE IT.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP AND MAY GOD BLESS YOU FOR ANYTHING YOU CAN DO. BRENDA LESMANN
