Hi everyone,
Our family is going through an incredibly difficult time as my dad, Steve, has recently been diagnosed with oral cavity squamous cell carcinoma (mouth cancer). This news has been overwhelming, but we are staying hopeful and focused on making sure he receives the best care possible.
He is currently receiving treatment through MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, and his treatment plan will include major medical surgery, treatment and follow-up appointments over the coming months.
Because his care is taking place far from home, our family will be staying in Houston for an extended period of time. The costs are quickly growing with travel, lodging, meals, medical expenses, and unexpected costs that come along with cancer treatment.
We are raising funds to help cover:
- Travel expenses to and from Houston
- Lodging during treatment and recovery
- Food and daily living expenses
- Medical bills, prescriptions, and co-pays
- Supplies needed for treatment and recovery
- Any loss of income during this time
We have also included a link to an Amazon registry that we will be updating as Dad is going through treatment. It will include things that will be needed and make him comfortable through this season.
