Hi, my name is Jayla. I’m working two jobs while going to school because I’m determined to build a better future for myself.I grew up without the support most people have, both of my parents struggle with drug and alcohol addiction, and for most of my childhood, I wasn’t in school at all. I didn’t start my education until I was 13, and it was an uphill battle catching up. Even with those challenges, I graduated high school with a 3.89 GPA, joined the cybersecurity club, and pushed myself to stay focused on my goals. Right now, I’m living with family and sleeping on their couch while I try to pay for college on my own. My dream is to earn my degree in IT so I can create a stable and independent life.
Every dollar goes directly toward my tuition, books, and school expenses. Anything helps a small contribution makes a difference and gets me one step closer to that degree.Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for any support you can give.
