My name is Lauren, and I’m a young mother and resident of Aurora, CO. I am writing to you out of concern for the genocide in Gaza, and I am asking for a small favor.
My friend Fatima Saken is a journalist in Gaza City. We became friends when I learned about her nephew, Qusai. Qusai is a teenage boy who was badly wounded in an Israeli strike, and like many children in Gaza, his condition is worsening every day that this genocide continues.
With so many children desperate for aid, the situation feels overwhelming. But my friend Fatima has set up an emergency aid fund to help as many children as possible survive. Through her work as a journalist, she has built connections across Gaza that allow her to locate children in need and get them the items they need to survive, which can vary depending on the child’s unique situation.
Contributions to our fund are sent directly to Fatima, who then uses them to provide critical aid for the children she works with. We have already provided aid to many children, but want to extend the offer to you so you can help us scale up our efforts in this time of critical need.
