My friend Valerie is a big-time animal lover. This weekend, Valerie had this adorable dog show up in her yard. She did the research, and attempted to get the doggie back to where she belongs. Valerie spent the entire day (missing a Father's Day outing with her own dad!) because she wanted to make sure this doggo was taken care of. After an entire day of trying to help, the original owner decided to not come pick up the dog and told Valerie to find the dog a new home.
After spending about a day and a half with this dog, the inevitable happened. Valerie fell in love. The dog, which had been panting, nervous, skittish...was now in her home, snuggled up and sleeping on her couch (which is the picture I chose for the cover). She also had started calling the dog "Cupcake." As any animal lover knows, once you name the puppy...the puppy is yours :)
Valerie has a lot on her plate. She already has four dogs (another which she rescued from the side of the road). She also has a few cats in addition to the ferals she feeds on her property, since she has a big piece of rural land. She is an unofficial rescuer, doing such important work.
What I'm asking for is a little help for her to get started with Cupcake. Valerie is planning on taking Cupcake to the SNYP Clinic to have her spayed and she will begin getting her veterinary care. She provided the name of the clinic because she wanted to show that she absolutely is making an appointment for the dog, and there is also the option to donate directly to them. We all know much more goes into pets. I would love if people would consider donating to help with vet care, food, and maybe a toy or two (because you know this little girl is going to be spoiled-based on that picture :)
Thank you so much for your consideration.
