On february 5th of this year , my mom fell from her attic through the floor and into her kitchen , hitting the counter a tote , and then landing on the floor shattering her her thigh bone, having to have emergency surgery now, leaving her where she is not allowed to put any weight on the leg, not allowed to walk and has to have constant care. Almost 24 hours a day, I have been driving back-and-forth from my home to her house. Which is about 85 miles a day, she lives on social security as well as myself and has caused an extreme financial hardship on both of us between gas for doctor's appointments and going back-and-forth to care for her, I don't normally ask for help. I am to a piont were i need help with the increase in the cost of gas, as well as needing someone to help me care for her and having to possibly hire a nurse to be able to give me a day off once in a while. Anything would be greatly appreciated. We are hoping and praying when we go back to the doctors here in a couple weeks that she will a be able to start physical therapy and be able to start applying some weight and hopefully learn to walk again. At the last appointment the doct said hopefully within a year she will be able start trying to walk but we are hoping sooner so she will be able to be back to herself, because normally she is a very active self-reliant woman who would be helping others instead of asking for help herself. Thank you inadvanced we appreciate any help.
