Project Skyler brings awareness to those with Turner's Syndrome through her Art. Let me introduce Skyler to you, she is a kind, smart, honest, and very driven 18 year-old. Skyler was born with Turner's Syndrome, while the disease classifies her as having a disability. She sees things from the mindset that just because you have a diagnosed disorder does not alter your dreams or ambitions.Skyler sees herself as a dreamer, an achiever. Her life has been full of obstacles, uphill climbs, setbacks with health concerns, and too many doctors, hospitals, and surgery to count. This is all due to her genetic disorder. Most recently she had to undergo serious eye surgery, this being the most life-changing and Her dream has been to be a writer and artist since she was 10. She is a brilliant student who is certified as a graphics artist, she has received multiple certificates for her achievements in art. Skyler recently completed her rough draft of her first Manga book and most of the illustrations. Since the eye surgery, it was so major there have been some obstacles and delays. We have all hopes that her eye surgery is a complete success and that she can continue her book and drawings. There are items that would make her progress in graphics easier and give her a platform for sustaining work.
Skyler is in need of a new graphics computer, a WACOM Cintiq Tablet 16, and some graphics programs, These items, and programs will assist Skyler to fulfill her dream as a writer, illustrator, novelist and so much more.
