I never imagined I would be in a position where I needed to ask others for help, but right now I’m doing everything I can to keep a roof over my daughters’ heads. Everything seemed to fall apart all at once. I lost my wallet and my job on the same day, and from there, one setback quickly turned into another. Without my regular income, I fell behind on my bills and rent. Eventually, my car was towed because I couldn’t afford to keep up with the payments, leaving me without transportation while I was already trying to figure out how to get back on my feet. As I fell further behind on rent and began facing eviction, I tried to find another home for my daughters and me. I found apartments offering move-in specials that I could have managed with the little money I had left from my final paycheck. Unfortunately, I began getting denied because an old housing judgment from 2024
was still showing as unresolved on my record, despite it having already been taken care of. By the time I was able to start addressing that issue, the little money I had available to move was gone. I am now facing the very real possibility of homelessness with my two daughters. At the moment, I have no
car, no job, and very limited resources to fall back on. I have found an opportunity to relocate to a new city where we can have a fresh start, and I also have a possible job opportunity there that would allow me to
begin supporting my family again.
The biggest thing standing between us and that fresh start is the money needed for the deposit on our new home. I am not asking anyone to fix everything for me. I’m simply asking for help getting through this one hurdle so I can get my daughters somewhere safe and stable and have the opportunity to rebuild from there. Any contribution, no matter the amount, would go directly toward our move-in costs. And if you aren’t able to
donate, simply sharing our fundraiser would mean more than you know. I know so many people are struggling right now, which makes it even harder for me to ask. But for my
daughters, I have to try every option available to me. Thank you for taking the time to read our story, share it, donate, or simply keep us in your thoughts. Every
little bit gets us one step closer to having a place to call home again. ❤️
