We’re excited to share that Weston is moving to Seattle to attend 5th Grade in the fall at The Academy for Precision Learning, a private school for children with Autism. In lieu of fundraising cookie dough, doughnuts or popcorn, etc. we decided to share his story.
Since 2.5 years old, Weston has been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Mild Intellectual Disorder, Mixed Expressive-Receptive Language Disorder, Child Onset Fluency Disorder, Undiagnosed Seizure Disorder and Specific Developmental Disorder of Motor Functioning.
Since his multiple diagnoses, West has been dedicated to speech therapy, tutoring, and occupational therapy 2-4 times per week in addition to school and sports, as well as rigorous testing and neuro-related appointments. Despite all of Weston’s progress, he still faces developmental delays and is entering 5th grade with skills typical of Kindergarten-1st grader.
To provide him with the best opportunities, we've enrolled Weston in the Academy for Precision Learning in Seattle, a private school for children with Autism. This nurturing environment with one-on-one learning will help him thrive. It was a pivotal and difficult decision regarding Weston’s educational future, but we have faith.
The tuition is $24,000 per year, and with ongoing therapy expenses and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) starting soon, we could use your help. Any contribution, big or small, will go directly towards tuition and empower Weston's journey toward a brighter future.
