The Barranco Family and Orange County Rapid Response Network have come together to organize a Community Defense Legal Fund to support Narciso Barranco, who was violently arrested on June 21 in Santa Ana while working his landscaping job.
Narciso is an impacted member of our community in Orange County who was unjustly targeted, arrested, detained, and ultimately released on bond to navigate the remaining steps of his case. He is unable to work for the unforeseen future and needs our support to maintain the resources necessary to continue fighting his case. A portion of these funds will also go to support other local SoCal families that have been impacted by the indiscriminate immigration raids.
The Orange County Rapid Response Network stands in deep partnership and unwavering solidarity with the Barranco family and our immigrant community as we endure, resist, and heal from the ongoing impacts of detention and enforcement. Dozens of families have turned to us for support. Guided by community values and a deep commitment to collective care, we are walking alongside families to ensure that no one faces ICE detention or the immigration system alone.
Families belong together. Immigrants belong here and deserve humanity, safety, and due process.

Quiero darles las gracias a ustedes, mi comunidad, por el inmenso apoyo hacia mí y toda la comunidad inmigrante. En nombre de mi esposa y de mío, quiero expresar mi más sincero y profundo agradecimiento por todo el cariño y respaldo que hemos recibido de cada rincón de esta maravillosa comunidad.
El amor que hemos sentido ha sido verdaderamente transformador. Los acontecimientos de aquel día cambiaron mi vida, pero también la cambiaron el apoyo, la solidaridad y el amor que hemos recibido de parte de nuestra comunidad.
Nuestra misión ahora no es solamente avanzar como una comunidad unida, sino también alzar la voz por aquellos que tal vez no tienen una. Por eso pedimos su apoyo, no solo para mí, sino también para otros como yo, cuyas historias quizás nunca lleguen a los medios.
Una parte de los fondos recaudados se destinará a brindar ayuda financiera a quienes lo necesiten, ya sea para pagar una fianza, comprar alimentos o simplemente ayudar a las familias a salir adelante. Mi deseo es que juntos podamos apoyarnos unos a otros mientras recorremos este camino.

I would like to thank you, the community, for your unwavering support toward me and the immigrant community. On behalf of myself and my family, I want to extend my most sincere and heartfelt gratitude for all the love and encouragement we have received from every corner of this amazing community.
The love we have felt has truly been life changing. The events of that day changed my life but so has the kindness and solidarity we have experienced from all of you.
Our mission now is not only to move forward together as a united community, but also to use our voices on behalf of those who may not have one. That is why we ask for your continued support, not just for me, but also for others like me whose stories may never reach the media attention.
A portion of the funds raised will go toward providing financial support to those in need, whether it be supporting bonds, buying food, or simply helping families make ends meet. My hope is that together we can lift each other up as we walk this journey side by side.
