Hi, I'm Maya - and I'm running for every kid who deserves the chance to play. I can’t imagine my life without sports. They’ve kept me active, confident, and have surrounded me with some of the best friends I’ve ever made. Sports have helped to shape who I am today. But here in Chatham, there are kids who never get that opportunity — not because they don’t want to play, but because their families can’t afford registration fees, equipment, uniforms, or travel costs. That’s why I’m running. Because every kid deserves the opportunity to step onto the field, join a team, and make friendships that will last a life time.
Play It Forward is a community fundraiser where every step makes a difference. Runners and walkers are sponsored by friends, family, and local supporters to raise money for sports scholarships and equipment for kids who might not otherwise have the chance to play. Each donation helps remove barriers and opens the door for more young athletes to join the game. Together, we’re turning miles into opportunities.
