There are so many oppressive systems at play that make this harder than it should be, but more than that, I want you to know that despite it all, we are miracles! My daughter & I are miracles!
We have emerged from a lineage fraught with trauma passed down from mothers to their daughters, whose only option was to survive long enough for me & my daughter to arrive. She & I are doing what seemed impossible to me -- to be a mother & daughter who can learn to love & care for each other outside of at least 5 generations of trauma.

Your support will give us breathing room so we can pause the spirals of anxiety from worrying about how rent & bills will get paid. I've been able to borrow & scrape by so far, but I want a break, too. Having this time & space to reconnect with each other & ourselves will prepare us for what comes next.
