**Support Deuxième Vie Creative - Thank you to every donor that helped support us during our move**
Dear Supporters and Community Members, Deuxième Vie Creative is still in need of your help. We found a great location in Freetown/Port Rico. It is a beautiful space and so much bigger (please read much more expensive) than our downtown space. This space allows us to not only provide low cost art materials for the community, it allows us to offer community creative space to you.
At the heart of our organization is a creative thrift store with a unique twist. We rescue "no longer wanted items" from landfills, giving them a fresh life and putting them in the hands of those who can cherish them once more. In a world dominated by fast fashion and waste, we aim to redefine the value of secondhand goods, making art both affordable and accessible to the Lafayette community and beyond. Not only do we provide affordable supplies, but we also host classes, workshops, and crafts that enable everyone to unleash their creativity no matter your age or ability. Our impact goes beyond just environmental conservation; we serve as a gateway to the local arts scene, offering opportunities for aspiring artists to exhibit their work, skills, and connect with like-minded individuals.
As we mark our 7th year of operation, we aim to expand our offerings to include more workshops for youth, classes for adults, and a community creative space for local artists. We have been working on the build outs for this creative space but still have a good bit to go. We are creating spaces where our community can engage together and with us in even more creative ways. All of these great ideas cost money for materials so on this Giving Tuesday we ask again for your support to keep the process going by donating to our fundraiser. Every donation gets us one step closer to being fully open and ready for you to create. You can help us to ensure that we can sustain our programs, continue to foster creativity, protect the environment, and serve as a vital community hub for artists and residents alike.
