Mission Statement
About The Project
Who Are We ?
As a Creative Team we are joining our talents together for this project, FALL is a feature film which aims to spark a dialog and light on an issue that women endure and struggle with every day, The experience of Mental & Financial Abuse. Far too many times women experiences are less likely to be on the high list percentage of importance, and less frequently created, unlike other genres of films presently created on the market. We wanted to explore this issue in depth within the life of Skyrim, showcasing that this issue is indeed relevant within the daily lives of women worldwide.
Why is this Film Important?
As a filmmaker who has experienced Mental Abuse myself I wanted to create a Film through 3D Animation to show that Mental abuse is world wide in a story setting, showcasing that it happens daily in the lives of couples, parents, children, peers, friends and colleagues. It can take many forms, from verbal abuse and intimidation to coercive control and gaslighting, in a form of psychological manipulation that seeks to sow seeds of doubt and make someone question their own memory, perception and sanity, while using gaslighting attempts to destabilise the victim and undermine their sense of self.
It can affect people of all ages and genders across all backgrounds. Often a precursor to physical abuse, family breakdown and financial destitution, linked to various health problems such as anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts and self-harm. Yet this form of abuse is only now beginning to be acknowledged and is still poorly understood by the medical, caring, law and justice professions that are confronted with it every day.
Why are we doing this project?
"We want to show the journey of a woman who lived her story and inspired others with her enduring resilience"
DARCIE SHELEY
Who is Darcie Shelley & Why are we honoring her in this Film?
On December 25th 2020 we lost one of our Members of our Cast Darcie Sheley who earned her wings unfortunately due to Mental Illness & Domestic Violence, Darcie was cast to play the role of Sia, a bubbly down to earth Personal Assistant to Skyrim, she was excited to emerse into her character and make the role her own, she wanted to create this a masterpiece and was determined to get this project done, but we lost her tragically. A woman with so much opportunity ahead of her, a mother of (4) beautiful daughters who is now without their mother, Darcie's story tugs at the very core of our belief that this story is necessary to further explore the ways that this issue and Illness experienced daily around the globe affects women who struggle to joggle both our professional lives and the roles within families daily often with a concealing smile, many times secretly hiding the scars of this daily inner struggle within our selves, but rather mirror a show of strength as we struggle to be positive about life, when mentally our world is emotionally crumbling and sometimes physically difficult to endure.
We had to do this for Darcie as her Team Mates and for so many others who endure this peril every day.
OUR GOAL
As a team we want use our voices in the art of storytelling to bring to life this film to tell a compelling story and also honor Darcie's legacy. She was a strong amaingly talented Woman, who fought valiantly to achieve her dreams on her own terms in the midst of great emotional difficuilty.
We'd love to have you join us as we begin this exciting opportunity to get to journey ahead together and explore in depth the life Skyrim with her many challanges as she strives to overcome the hardships as an Underdog and rebuild her life.
