I currently work in the activities department of a Nursing Home located in Maryland. Our department tries to keep the residents active and engaged. We offer various activities but their all time favorite is Bingo! We don't have much of a budget so most of the items purchased for prizes comes out of our pockets. We just want to get some nice things for these residents as some have no family that visit, while others have family but nothing to get them up and active!
Any little bit can help. I like to look at them as if my family was in a home, give them a good experience or something to do!
