This is super hard for me, I’m not the one to ever ask for help. About two and a half years ago my husband and I started our journey fostering and adopting children. As most of you know we have eight children in our home. Two or from my husband previous marriage , two have adopted and four we are fostering. About a year ago we decided that we were going to build four extra bedrooms and a new bath on to our home to accommodate the children coming into our home. 
so with some help of a contractor we where able to finance our home and make these dreams come true. The build was going great and progress was being made. But about a year into our contractor started to not show up. We have tried everything to work with him to get this. We are now sitting at a year and a half with a half done home and the work done was not up to standard. This contractor was paid 157.000 and our home is not complete. Yes we should have never paid him in full but at the time we thought we was a really friend. ( we did learn our lesson). 
last week we where in Seattle WA for our youngest surgery. When we got home we were meet with a letter in the mail that this contractor is not trying to put a lien on our home because he states we owe him 42,000.  I’m making this page because I am asking for help to get legal help to pursue this contractor, and his neglect to get the job done. again I am one that hates to ask for help, but my family is pushing in the corner and have no other option. so whatever you can spare would be so grateful and helpful in this situation.
