Hello Friends and Family of the Torgerson’s.
I am Angie, Kelly’s cousin, I have finally convinced Kelly to let me reach out to those that love and care for The Torgerson family for financial help.
4 weeks ago Kelly tried to wake Josh to go to the bank, he wasn’t coming around, it was then she realized something wasn’t right. Kelly brought Josh to the ER where he tested positive for COVID. They told Kelly immediately she had to leave. Little did she know it would be weeks before she would be able to see her husband again.
For the last 4 weeks Josh has been mostly sedated on a ventilator. At one point they weren’t sure what more could be done for Josh as he wasn’t showing signs of improvement and would randomly spike a fever. Kelly told the Drs she isn’t giving up on him and anyone that knows Josh, knows he is a fighter! He has his beautiful wife Kelly and their wonderful kids Olivia (18) and Nolan (16) to fight for.
Josh started showing signs of improvement in his lungs these last couple of days, hallelujah! However, he is extremely weak because he’s been bed ridden for so long. So, they made the decision to do surgery yesterday and give Josh a tracheostomy. This will help Josh to come off sedation and work on regaining strength. Josh used to spend his days at work talking on the phone to his customers, as of right now it is unknown when/if Josh will return to work.
Josh is going to have a long road to recovery, it’s going to take months of rehab just for him to rebuild his strength which means Kelly will be taking time off work, driving him here and there for many appointments. We all know Kelly would have it no other way, her and the kids are there for Josh to do whatever possible to aide in Josh’s recovery. With that being said, any amount of financial contribution will be such a blessing on the Torgerson family while they help Josh get his health back
If you’ve been reaching out asking Kelly what you can do…besides praying for Josh 24/7 (please keep the prayers coming!) a financial contribution is something that would be most helpful in this time of the unknowns.
Humbly,
Angie VanOsdel on behalf of The Torgerson’s
