Sponsored by the People
My name is William Williams, and I am a professional long jumper proudly representing Team USA on the international stage. I am a two time USA National Champion and a proud graduate of Texas A&M University.
Over the past five years, I've earned a place on seven consecutive Team USA international teams, competing against the best athletes in the world. My career has taken me from winning the 2022 NACAC Championship in The Bahamas to representing the United States at multiple World Championships, becoming a World Championship finalist, serving as a 2024 Olympic alternate, and most recently competing at the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan.
Now my sights are set on the 2027 World Championships in Beijing and the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
While many professional athletes have major brands and corporate sponsors behind them, I've made it this far without any corporate funding. Every national title, every international competition, every training cycle, and every milestone has been built through hard work and the support of people who believed in me long before the spotlight.
I represent my family, my city, my community, and everyone who has invested in me along the way. From local businesses and youth organizations to friends, mentors, coaches, and neighbors, this journey has always been fueled by people who believed in me. Every opportunity, every milestone, and every Team USA jersey has been made possible through grassroots support. Every time I step onto the runway, I carry my community with me.
When I'm not training, I'm committed to giving back. I coach with Cambridge Youth Track & Field Club and mentor young athletes who dream of competing at the next level. I also continue expanding my career into commercial, editorial, fashion, and lifestyle modeling, creating opportunities that extend beyond athletics while continuing to pursue excellence in sport.
Your support helps cover the realities of competing professionally, including:
• Training
• Coaching
• Travel to competitions
• Recovery and sports medicine
• Nutrition
• Equipment
• Living expenses during training
Every contribution, whether large or small, becomes part of this journey. When I step onto the runway, compete on the world stage, and chase Olympic gold in Los Angeles, I want my story to be bigger than one athlete. I want it to be proof that a community can come together and help build a champion.
Thank you for believing in me and for being part of this journey. I hope you'll continue walking it with me all the way to the World Championships and the 2028 Olympic Games.
With gratitude,
William Williams
