I was raped in January 2026 at 17 years old by a registered sex offender. When I started a case, I stated my story with an intent of being heard and making a change. They needed more evidence and took my phone into custody and then told me that they would do all they could. It’s been over 6 months since and we haven’t heard back about it except that they’re trying to charge him with kidnapping. Not rape.
