Our sweet cat Lulabelle is only three years old and is currently hospitalized with a serious kidney emergency.
Doctors discovered that stones have blocked one of her ureters, causing her kidney to become enlarged. They are running tests to determine whether the kidney can be saved. Depending on what they find, Lulabelle may need a SUB procedure or surgery to remove the affected kidney.
We are fortunate to have pet insurance, but even with coverage, the out-of-pocket expenses for her emergency hospitalization, testing, surgery, and follow-up care are substantial.
I’m a stay-at-home mom, and Lulabelle is an important part of our family. Our toddler absolutely adores her, and it is heartbreaking to have her away from home while we wait to learn what comes next. She is still so young, and we want to give her every possible chance to recover and come home to us.
Funds raised will help with Lulabelle’s insurance deductible and coinsurance, along with treatments, medications, and follow-up care that are not fully covered.
