Family, friends, neighbors, classmates, co-workers and kindhearted folks from Chicago, to Michigan, to Iowa, to Denver and everywhere in between, it's time to rally support for Cory Bullerman, Nora Donehoo Bullerman and their three little sweethearts Maddux, Olive and Pearl.
Cory and his medical team have been hard at work these last three years trying to manage Cory's cancer diagnosis. All the while Nora has continued to work, manage their household, and provide encouragement and comfort to Cory.
This week Cory's doctors decided to transition his medical plan to hospice care to keep Cory comfortable. Cory will return home to be close to his family and will also rely on his family for caretaking. Nora plans to take a break from work so that she can help Cory feel comfortable and at ease.
For quite some time the Bullermans have been relying primarily on Nora's income, with supplementary income from disability benefits provided by Cory's job with the railroad. With Nora at home, they'll need to account for her lost wages as well as added medical expenses.
There will be many ways that those closest to Nora and Cory and the kids can help - meal trains, rides for the kids to their activities, grocery shopping, etc. but for those of us who can't be near, the best possible way to help is through a donation to their *spotfund account.
*spotfund will make your donation available to the Bullermans within one business day and 100% of each donation goes directly to Nora and Cory.
If you're not able to donate, consider sharing the Bullermans story.
Nora is prayerful person. If you are too, keep this little family in your prayers.
