Last Friday night, I stood outside my home in Whitehall, Pennsylvania, watching helplessly as flames swept through everything we owned. It felt like a nightmare I couldn’t wake up from—a lifetime of memories, suddenly turned to ash. We are a big family, and in a house full of laughter and warmth, losing everything so suddenly was overwhelming. The fire consumed not just our belongings, but the spaces we filled with love and togetherness.
In the chaos that night, I felt a deep sense of gratitude that my family was safe, but now we face the daunting task of starting from scratch. My heart aches at the thought of the little things we lost, from children's toys to cherished family photos, each carrying a piece of our story. I find myself struggling to express everything, as language isn't always easy for me, but I hope to convey how much any support would mean as we begin to rebuild our lives.
