Bring Back Merlin’s Purr – Emergency Vet Help Needed

Hi, my name is Jenn, and I’m asking for help to save my cat, Merlin.

I adopted Merlin after losing my soul cat Tokyo, who passed away unexpectedly at just 3 years old. Merlin came into my life like a healing gift—but it quickly became clear that he was sick too.

Since arriving, Merlin has battled fevers, lethargy, high kidney values, unexplained infections, and painful stomatitis. He’s been fighting so hard, and some days he plays like a normal kitten. Other days, he barely moves.

I’ve already spent over $2,700 on vet visits, bloodwork, and second opinions, but no one could find the cause—until now. He’s finally been referred to an internal medicine specialist, and we're so close to getting answers.

But I’m financially tapped out—not only from his care, but also because of my own recent surgeries. Merlin’s new vet bill is $2,175.41, not including his ongoing medications. I simply can’t afford it alone.

Without this care, Merlin will have to be euthanized—not because he can’t be saved, but because I can’t keep up financially. That’s the most heartbreaking part.

He’s a gentle, affectionate “Velcro” cat who throws his face into mine and sleeps by my side. He can’t even purr anymore because his mouth hurts too much—but I know if we can get him the help he needs, his purr will come back.

I didn’t come this far, investing everything emotionally and financially, just to give up now. We are so close to finding answers. I have been working around the clock with him as well but I simply need the help at this point and cannot do it alone anymore.

If you can donate—no amount is too small—you’ll be giving Merlin a second chance at life. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing his story.

From the bottom of my heart,
Thank you.
Jenn & Merlin 🐾
