To know Ke'Renza, is to love her. The funniest person in the room and constant friend, in this season, Leukemia has come rushing in leaving her with very few options.
Just months after being laid off in Fall of 2025, Ke'Renza was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia after a very scary incident that led her to the ER.
Post diagnosis, she has started a rigorous and incredibly painful treatment plan of chemo that includes 15-20+ spinal taps, receiving medicine through a port in her chest, along with pill treatment that, while fighting the cancer, is making her physical body weaker and weaker by the day.
The doctors are hopeful that this treatment will allow her to enter into remission around Summer of 2026, but the emotional and physical cost of the treatment is making it feel impossible to get there.
Ke'Renza as of today is 85%-90% homebound, as well as at times wheelchair bound. She is home in Statesboro with a family member who is working to take care of her, but as many of us would experience, this has created a dependent and isolated life is she is not accustomed to living, which impact not only your mind but your spirit.
This fund is to do two things:
1. SEND HOPE. Tell Ke'Renza she is loved and that there is hope. Remind her that she is enough and help send checkpoints that will help her keep going when she wants to give up on treatment.
2. RAISE SUPPORT. The difficult reality is that, if her treatment sends the Leukemia into remission, she will still have a road of recovery that follows to repair the damage her treatment has done on her body, her bones, her skin and her teeth.
This small fund will help support her along this journey as she is focusing on recovering and working to not let the anxiety of work harm her healing.
Ke'Renza has been a gift to so many of us over the year and we get to step in and up to help her on this journey.
Thank you for anything you can give!
