Abood is only 23 but carries a lifetime of experiences. Growing up in Gaza, he's faced unimaginable challenges yet remains a beacon of strength and resilience.
A natural athlete, he channels his determination into not only sports but caring for his large family.
Abood and his family will be renting an apartment and he hopes to create a stable home for himself and start anew, a significant step for someone who's seen too much hardship. Despite his remarkable spirit, the shadows of the past linger. His younger brother, a gentle soul, bravely attempted to save their sister during a dangerous situation but sadly, and he was martyred.
The pain of that loss is something Abood carries with him every day, yet it hasn't dimmed his kindness or his willingness to help others. He inspires everyone around him with his warmth and intelligence. Being able to provide Abood a safe haven is about honoring his dreams and resilience, something he deeply deserves.
