Hi, my nameis Riley Hart. I’m reaching out because I’m in a desperate situation and I don’t know where else to turn.
I’m behind on my rent and my landlord has begun threatening eviction. My monthly rent is a little over $1,000, and right now I need about $2,000 to catch up on past-due rent, late fees, and immediate housing-related expenses so I don’t lose my apartment. Losing my home would leave me with nowhere safe to recover — I have surgery scheduled for October 30, 2025, and I need a stable place to heal.
I’ve tried every option I can think of: personal loans, emergency assistance programs, friends and family — but I’ve been repeatedly denied for loans because my credit is bad. I’m out of options and out of time. That’s why I’m asking for help here.
How the money will be used:
- Past-due rent and late fees to prevent eviction.
- A small cushion for immediate recovery needs (basic groceries, prescriptions, or transportation to medical appointments while I heal).
- Any leftover will be saved to cover the next month’s rent so I can focus on recovery without worrying about losing my home.
Why I’m asking anonymously:
I want to keep my real name private while asking for help. Please know that I am the beneficiary and will receive the funds directly to cover these urgent expenses. I will post anonymous updates here so donors know how things are going and how their generosity helped.
