My name is Youssef Shubeir, a 23-year-old Palestinian man from Gaza.

I never imagined that the simplest things in life would become mere wishes; that obtaining food, water, and basic necessities would become a daily struggle; that the home that once provided us with security would become a place we couldn't reach or live in normally.

During the war, my family and I were forced to flee our home and lived in a tent in the Al-Mawasi area of Al-Qarara for about seven months.

Seven months of displacement, fear, cold, heat, waiting, and trying to secure the most basic necessities of life.

Afterward, we returned to our home, but the return wasn't a return to the life we knew. Gaza is still suffering, and many families are still struggling daily to survive and secure their basic needs.

Despite everything I've been through, I'm trying not to give up.

I work in photography, content creation, and documenting life in Gaza. Through my camera, I try to convey a part of our reality to the world, to show that behind the news and statistics are people with dreams and stories who are trying to persevere despite everything.

I also try, whenever I can, to participate in humanitarian initiatives to help children and families in need. Because I have experienced displacement and hardship firsthand, I know how much a small act of kindness can mean.

Today, I am asking for help not in search of a luxurious life, but in search of safety, stability, and the ability to secure the basic needs of myself and my family and continue living with dignity.

Any amount, no matter how small, can help us.

Sometimes, sharing the story and the connection with others is itself a form of help.

I am Youssef from Gaza, and this is my story.

I am not asking you to forget what is happening here; I am only asking for your help to keep going.

Thank you to everyone who has read my story, to everyone who will share it, and to everyone who will lend a helping hand.

From Gaza, thank you from the bottom of my heart. 🇵🇸❤️
