Yesterday afternoon our friend, Brandy, was doing yard work outside her home. In an attempt to rekindle a burn pile she thought was no longer burning, she caught on fire. She had to be life-flighted to KU-MED, in Kansas City, to the burn unit, where she is expected to spend an extensive amount of time as she recovers. After evaluating her burns, it was found that nearly 20% of her body was burned, most of which on her left side. Her left ear took an extensive amount of burning, and she may lose that ear. Her husband, and three children are in Weir, which is where they all reside. Due to not having insurance, and being unable to work for an unknown amount of time, there is a heavy financial burden on her husband Glen. Not only for Brandy’s extensive health and rehabilitation in KC, but for travel to and from there as well. Brandy is one of the hardest working people we know, and would do absolutely ANYTHING for anybody. I know we all have our own financial burdens in someway in this day and age, so anything you find you are able to donate would be most appreciated. If anything at all, prayers and well wishes for a full and speedy recovery are most welcomed and highly encouraged as well. Thank you for whatever you are able to do!
