SistasBackinSistas,Inc. (SBS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created because too many women, families, and veterans are one crisis away from losing everything—and too often, there is nowhere safe to land.
Founded by a survivor of domestic violence and housing instability, SBS understands firsthand what it means to rebuild life after trauma. What began as a personal mission has grown into a trusted, community-based organization committed to restoration, dignity, and stability.
SBS provides emergency assistance, resource navigation, mental-health and caregiver support groups, faith-anchored healing programs, and year-round community outreach for women, families, and veterans impacted by homelessness, violence, and crisis.
Each year, SBS also leads essential community give-back initiatives, including:
- An Annual Thanksgiving Dinner for families in need
- A Seasonal Coat Drive to keep children and adults warm
- A Christmas Community Give-Back, providing toys, essentials, and hope during the holidays
We are raising $20,000 by September to sustain and expand our programs and to cover the operational costs required to serve our community consistently. Funds raised will support:
- Emergency support for women and families in crisis
- Food, supplies, transportation, and program materials
- Mental-health and caregiver support programming
- Community events and seasonal givebacks
- Capacity-building toward transitional housing and long-term stability services
This campaign is about more than reaching a financial goal—it’s about ensuring that no woman, child, or veteran has to navigate crisis alone.
Every contribution helps move individuals and families from survival to stability.
Thank you for supporting SistasBackinSistas,Inc. and believing in second chances.
