As a mother, it’s never easy to watch your children go through difficult times, especially when there’s little you can do to take away their struggles. Today, I’m reaching out on behalf of my son, Curtis Oyler, and my daughter-in-law, Karlie Oyler.
Many of you have known Curtis since he was just a little boy growing up in the bluegrass music community. Through the years, he has built friendships that feel more like family, and he and Karlie have always been willing to help others whenever there was a need. Whether it was offering support, lending a hand, or simply being there for someone going through a hard time, they have always given from their hearts.
Now they are facing a difficult chapter in their own lives. For the past several months, Curtis has been dealing with serious health issues that have left him unable to work. He has undergone numerous tests and medical appointments as doctors work to determine exactly what is causing his condition. At this time, doctors strongly believe he may have an autoimmune disease that is causing severe abdominal pain and significantly affecting his daily life. After additional testing a few weeks ago, we are now waiting for results that could finally provide answers and confirm a diagnosis.
At the same time, Karlie is off work as they prepare to welcome their beautiful new baby into the world. What should be a joyful and exciting time for their growing family has also come with financial uncertainty and stress as they try to manage everyday expenses, medical costs, and the loss of income.
If you know Curtis and Karlie, then you know they would never ask for help themselves. They are the kind of people who would rather be the ones giving than receiving. That’s why I’m asking on their behalf.
I’m hoping that the same community they have loved and supported for so many years can come together and help lift some of the burden from their shoulders. Any donation, no matter the amount, will help them focus on what matters most right now—Curtis’s health, Karlie’s well-being, and the arrival of their precious baby.
If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping them in your thoughts and prayers. We pray that the upcoming test results provide answers, guidance, and a path toward healing for Curtis.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your love, prayers, support, and generosity. It truly means more than words can express. Every donation, share, and prayer is deeply appreciated by our family.
“When life’s road gets difficult, family, friends, and community help carry the load. Let’s show Curtis and Karlie that they don’t have to walk this road alone.”
