I never thought my children and I would have to run for our lives.
We escaped a burning apartment with nothing but each other. My toddler daughter was in my arms. My preschooler son was beside me. We made it out alive, but we lost everything we owned in that fire—our home, clothes, baby items, documents, memories, everything.
In a matter of minutes, our entire life was gone.
What makes this even more devastating is that my son is a liver transplant recipient. He is a toddler with a fragile immune system and ongoing medical needs. He requires a clean, stable environment, medications, proper nutrition, and routine. Losing our home has put his health at risk, and as a parent, that fear is unbearable.
My daughter is still a baby. She depends on me for everything. Right now, I’m trying to protect them while figuring out how to start over from absolutely nothing.
We are not asking for luxury—only help to survive and rebuild. The funds raised will go toward emergency housing, clothing, diapers, formula, basic necessities, and supporting my son’s medical care. We need stability so my children can be safe.
I’m a single mother just asking for help, it’s honestly one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but this fire left us with no choice. Any support—donations, shares, prayers—means more than words can express.
Thank you for helping my family during the most difficult moment of our lives.
