Help Heidi Vanhecke in Her Fight Against Life-Threatening Illness

 

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

 

We are reaching out to ask for support for Heidi Vanhecke, who is battling severe and life-threatening health conditions. Heidi’s daily reality is one of immense pain, constant medical intervention, and hospitalizations. She is fighting End-Stage Crohn’s Disease, which has left her without bowels and reliant on an ostomy bag. She requires IV fluids all day through a port and has been hospitalized over 40 times per year for the past three years.

 

Her struggles don’t end there

Heidi is also facing:

• Sepsis (a dangerous blood infection that has caused major complications)

• Endocarditis (a serious infection in her heart, including a hole and a mass on her heart valve)

• Two blood clots traveling to her heart (requiring blood thinners in hopes they dissolve)

• Left kidney failure

• The need for constant supervision due to her debilitating condition

 

Her medical journey has been exhausting, painful, and financially draining. The costs of treatments, medications, hospital stays, and everyday care are overwhelming. Heidi is unable to work and needs 24/7 assistance.
