Hey everyone,
If you know me, you know that asking for help is the absolute last thing I ever want to do. I’ve always preferred to be the one standing on my own two feet, working security around the local music scene, and taking care of things myself. But right now, life is forcing my hand, and I need to lean on my community.
Back in 2001, I was in a severe motorcycle accident. Fast forward to today, and the long-term aftermath of that crash requires me to undergo a major, complex incisional hernia surgery on August 3rd. The procedure is extensive, involving component separation and bone anchors.
Because of the intensity of the surgery, my recovery road is going to be long and strict. I will be completely out of commission and unable to bring in any extra income for several months. Being on disability already means things are tight, but this upcoming stretch makes meeting basic needs and medical recovery costs impossible on my own.
Specifically, I need to secure an electric lift recliner chair prior to August 3rd, as I will be physically unable to get in and out of a standard bed or couch for the first few months of healing.
I’m putting this out there to ask for a bit of a lift while I’m down. Any funds raised will go directly toward securing the medical equipment needed for my recovery and helping cover the gap in my basic living expenses while I heal.
If you’re able to donate, I appreciate it more than words can say. If you can’t, just sharing this link means the world to me.
Thank you for having my back while I get through this.
Your favorite door guy,
Charlie
I've had a few ask for my pay app info. It's Beardyhead on cashapp and venmo if you want to use that.
