Hi, everyone. My name is Quintin Bynum and I am preparing for a trip of a lifetime. I will be embarking on a journey that will take me around the world by motorcycle.
THE GOAL
My goal is to ride my 2021 Yamaha Tenere 700 (Dora) to Portugal via South America and Africa. Along the way I'll be documenting my journey with the use of a GoPro and Sony camera, capturing moments like border crossings, visiting wildlife conservations, exploring national parks, exploring different cultures, riding through water crossings, mountain passes, dried up river beds and salt flats.
THE ROUTE
My route will start from Boston, MA, stopping in cities like NYC, Atlanta, New Orleans, Phoenix and Los Angeles. Then I'll be heading south into Baja, Mexico, making my way into Central and South America all the way to Ushuaia, Argentina. From Argentina, I will ship Dora across the Atlantic Ocean to Cape Town, South Africa. From there, I will head north along the east coast of Africa into South Sudan, then back down through Rwanda into Zambia, then up the west coast of Africa, visiting countries like Congo, Nigeria, Togo, Sierra Leon, and Morocco, and finally crossing the Strait of Gibraltar into Spain and Portugal.
THE WHY
My two passions in life are riding motorcycles and exploring the planet, so I've decided to combine the two. This planet has so many spectacular and inspiring landscapes, cultures, and wildlife.
