Had some water damage and now my kitchen floor needs replaced. Insurance adjuster came and estimated $4800, so that’s what the insurance paid. Contractors are giving a preliminary estimate of $16,000. Insurance won’t budge. I am a truck driver so I do not have the time off to do the repairs myself and frankly probably don’t possess the knowledge or ability to do them correctly. I am not home much being on the road sometimes 2-3 months at a time to provide the basics for my family, but my family is home and have to walk on these floors. I am not one to ask for help but I do not know what else to do.
