Our love story is one that spans continents and cultures, a testament to the power of connection and commitment. My name is Justin and I recently married my beautiful wife, Amelia, who has traveled all the way from China to be with me here in the United States. Our journey has been filled with moments of joy, laughter, and a deep sense of belonging to one another.
It all started with a simple message, "Hi, how are you?" on an online dating platform in December 2023. From that humble beginning, Amelia and I quickly found that we couldn't stop talking. Our first meeting took place in L.A. in February 2024 under less than perfect circumstances due to travel delays, but her excitement to see me made everything worthwhile. As we explored the city together that weekend, we both knew we had found something special. Another chapter of our adventure unfolded when I visited China in July 2024. Amelia showed me wonders of her homeland, from Guangzhou, to the Great Wall in Beijing, to the stunning landscapes of Zhangjiajie. Saying goodbye at the airport was heart-wrenching, but we were fortunate to reunite in Wisconsin that October, where we made cherished memories in Door County and Wisconsin Dells. Now, after months of anticipation, Amelia has joined me once more, and we embarked on our greatest adventure yet by saying "I Do" on February 3rd, 2025.
As we plan our future together, we are faced with the challenge of navigating the immigration process, which has proven to be more expensive than we expected.
The immigration physical alone costs $450, and filing forms such as the I-485 ($1440), I-130 ($675), and I-131 ($630) add up quickly. We've also hired an attorney to review our paperwork to ensure everything goes smoothly and we're able to stay together without unnecessary delays.
