Hey everyone… I don’t usually ask for help like this, but we’re in a really heavy situation right now and this little dog doesn’t deserve to suffer. My family took in a pitbull puppy last year to help my older brother, who struggles with bipolar schizophrenia and is in recovery. That dog became his emotional support — his routine, his reason to get up, his comfort. She’s been the one thing keeping him grounded and clean for a whole year. But now she’s in trouble. She developed a painful abscess on her ear, and the vet told us it needs to be drained ASAP. The estimate was $1,400, and if we can’t pay it, they said we may have to surrender her… even calling it “neglect.” That crushed my whole family. My mom already takes care of my brother and my grandmother 24/7, and she’s doing the best she can with almost nothing.
