For many years, my dream of becoming a nurse had to be set aside so I could focus on what mattered most, raising and providing for my children. As a single mother, I made countless sacrifices to ensure my family had the stability, support, and opportunities they needed, often putting my own education and career goals on hold. While life has since brought new blessings through remarriage and the fact that my children are now older and more independent, my passion for nursing has never faded. Returning to school to complete my nursing degree represents the fulfillment of a lifelong dream and an opportunity to build a career centered on compassion, service, and helping others.
As the primary breadwinner for my family, pursuing this degree comes with significant financial challenges. In order to complete the required clinical rotations, I will need to reduce my current full-time employment to part-time hours, resulting in a substantial loss of income. This funding would help ease the burden of tuition costs as well as essential living expenses during this transition. Receiving this support would allow me to focus on my education and clinical training without the constant worry of how to meet my family's financial obligations. More than financial assistance, this funding would be an investment in a future where I can achieve my goals, continue providing for my family, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others as a nurse.
