On Feb 5th, 2023, I discovered I was pregnant with our daughter, Kileah. I initially kept it a secret, fearing judgment and rejection. As time passed, I embraced the support of my loved ones. Eventually, I revealed the pregnancy to my parents and church, receiving an outpouring of love and understanding. Despite medical challenges and a diagnosis of Bilateral Multi Cystic Dysplastic Kidneys, we held onto hope.
Our journey led us to Long Beach Memorial, where we received exceptional care and compassion from the medical team. Kileah brought joy to our lives even amidst uncertainty. We cherished moments together, from sharing music to feeling her respond to her father's presence.
As our pregnancy progressed, we faced tough decisions and prayed for miracles. Kileah's strength and willpower amazed us all. On July 29th, she arrived with determination, defying odds. She was with us for one precious hour before passing peacefully.
Throughout this journey, I've learned to find miracles in unexpected places and hold onto hope despite challenges. Kileah's presence brought our family closer, and the love and support we've received have been overwhelming. We're thankful for our medical team, friends, family, and supporters who've been with us every step of the way.
While the pain of loss is deep, Kileah's memory lives on. We're reminded to look for miracles, to find strength in faith, and to embrace the love that surrounds us. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey. Your love and support mean the world to us. All donations will be used for Kileah's memorial and burial.
