After a routine colonoscopy in December 2021, Scott Stemmons was diagnosed with Stage 3 rectal cancer. He began low dose chemo & radiation in January and is now going through 8 rounds of chemotherapy. Scott will have a major surgery to remove the tumor this summer and possibly additional chemotherapy after. Scott is now on medical leave from work so he can focus on resting and healing.
As you can imagine, with new deductible and co-insurance for weekly appointments, lab work and treatments, medical expenses are adding up. Financial stress is not something that anyone should have to endure during this hard but necessary treatment process.
