New Car

So I got my car late January 2026 with 80k miles it working amazing. I got looked at by shops and everything was fine on it I just had to put some money into it to get it to pass the emissions test.  All of a sudden about a week ago it start stalling and acting funny and then wouldn’t start. I got a mobile mechanic to come by and he did as much as he could but said it was the emc and he wasn’t qualified to fix that. So I got it towed to the shop and they said it was the computer . They put a new computer in it and the check engine light is still on but it runs . They told me to come get it so I can at least drive to and from work until the new part comes in but if it doesn’t work (which they weren’t optimistic about because this is the third computer they are trying) I won’t be able to pass emissions next year and will have to get a new car.  I am also going back to school in the fall to be a surgical technologist and my money is really tied up with school and bills. And to make the matter worse I got laid off my job about a month ago and just starting new jobs. So I’m really in a pickle. Anything helps and I appreciate any help anyone can give me. If you know me you know I never ask for money but at this point I really don’t have a choice . Thanks for any kind of help you can give .
