Hi! My name is Katherine, I’m 19 years old, almost 20. I work a full time job but am unable to enroll in college due to health issues. I was born with a genetic illness known as “Ehlers Danlos Syndrome” which then, at age nine, triggered another condition, “postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome.” I wasn’t taken seriously by doctors until I was 18, and by then I was so sick that I had amassed many ER bills. My bills are from ER visits where my heart rate had been 190+ BPM, for IV infusions due to dehydration caused by my illnesses, and for CT scans to check for abnormalities in my digestive system. I’m currently trying to gain financial independence, but all of my money is going to housing and covering current medical bills. I’d like to use this money to pay off my previous medical bills from the last year. Any help, even one dollar would be more than appreciated! Thank you!
