Standing strong in Gaza, even when everything else falls apart.

Hello,

I'm Omar from Gaza, a father of five children. We are currently living under constant bombardment in a war that shows no mercy. My home has been severely damaged and is no longer livable. We now endure life in tragic conditions – no electricity, limited water, and barely enough food to feed my kids.

As a father, I’m doing everything I can to provide the basics for my five children – but with no job, no income, and soaring prices, it’s almost impossible. My children go to sleep hungry, afraid, with nowhere safe to go.

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart, hoping for your support. Your donation can make a difference – a meal, clean water, or medicine for a child. Every bit of help, no matter how small, truly saves lives.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who stands with us in these dark days. May you be rewarded for your kindness.

Dear friends with kind hearts,

Hope this update finds you well.

You have all heard and seen the news on the badly organised chess game currently taking place between certain powers …that are acting as the absolute masters of this world.

Truth be told, we don’t know what to make of this: will the war end? Will we ever get a chance at living our life in the same fashion as our kind supporters ?

Can we start hoping again? Can I start dreaming of rebuilding our family life..and seeing my children play together without having to duck down whenever a missile strikes someone’s home or another life saving facility ?

Time will tell.

All I can say right now is that without external support, my wife and children would not have survived the FAMINE, the merciless killing and I would not have had the chance of witnessing their joy at an extra loaf of bread per day…

Standing in the front of what used to be our family home and knowing there are people in this world that will never stop believing in us and our right at self determination, is a feeling I cannot describe. Arabic language is very rich.., but I cannot find the right words to express my endless gratitude for showing your humanity when we needed it the most.

All I hope is that you will not forget my family.

All I can say that right now …is that we are experiencing a strange kind of waiting … not for peace, or even for safety, but for a moment when the air feels breathable again.

The dust has settled in our lungs, our walls, our dreams. Gaza feels unliveable and the future is a blur behind the smoke, but we keep looking toward it, because my children still need to know that seasons can change, even after so much ruin.

May you and your families be healthy and live in eternal abundance for a thousand years ! In Sha Allah!

My dear friends and supporters,

Words fail to express the depth of my gratitude for your ongoing support. Your generosity is what keeps my family alive.

Sometimes I sit and reflect on how drastically our lives have changed: how we run each day just to find a piece of bread and survive another night. My older children have come to realize that their lives may end too soon, while the younger ones still live in a fragile innocence I almost envy.

Today, we are once again forced to leave our home. We must gather what little we have left: some clothes, folded blankets, family photos, and our shattered hopes. We are exhausted, hungry, and fearful — yet I cannot give up. I must remain strong for my children and my wife.

Please, do not leave us alone. Keep us in your prayers, and support us in any way you can. Every act of kindness is a light of hope for us in this darkness.

Forever grateful,

Omar & his little sunshine 🌿
